Terms of Service

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the GG Translator app ("App"), downloads, and premium licensing services. By using them, you agree to these Terms.

1. Free App and Premium License

The App download is free. A premium purchase grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable lifetime license to the premium features, subject to these Terms. "Lifetime" refers to the supported life of the App and licensing service, not the purchaser's lifetime.

Solo provides one personal lifetime license. Duo provides two personal lifetime licenses: one for the buyer and one giftable license. The unused gift may be sent once to a recipient chosen by the buyer. After the recipient claims it, that license is personal to the recipient and may not be transferred or re-gifted.

2. Installations and Activation

Each license may be activated on up to five distinct installations. Repeated activation on the same installation does not consume another slot. If you replace or lose access to a computer, contact support@ggtranslator.com; support may reset an installation after reasonable ownership and abuse checks.

Online activation returns a stored premium entitlement that the App can verify offline. Translation still requires your own OpenAI API key and an internet connection, and you are responsible for OpenAI charges and terms.

3. Checkout, Merchant of Record, and Refunds

Paddle is the merchant of record for premium purchases and handles checkout, payment, tax, receipts, and approved refunds. Refunds are governed by the policy displayed in the actual Paddle checkout at the time of purchase. These Terms do not create or promise a separate refund window.

4. Acceptable Use and Revocation

You must use the App lawfully and may not share, sell, publish, automate distribution of, or attempt to bypass controls on a license key. We may revoke a license for license abuse, fraud, or material violation of these Terms. Premium access may also be revoked after a refund or chargeback reverses the purchase.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, software, logos, and trademarks remain the property of GG Translator and its licensors. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of Liability

GG Translator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after such modifications signifies your acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the state of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
