Privacy Policy

GG Translator ("we," "us," or "our") provides the GG Translator app ("App"), public downloads, premium licensing, gifts, and license recovery. This policy explains the information used to operate those services.

1. Information We Process

• Purchase data: the buyer email, Paddle transaction identifiers and status, the purchased package, and fulfillment timestamps.
• License data: license identifiers, protected license-key material, ownership or gift status, and delivery history.
• Activation data: a random installation identifier created by the App, platform, App version, and activation timestamps. We do not require an invasive hardware fingerprint.
• Recovery and anti-abuse data: the email and optional transaction identifier submitted for recovery, Turnstile challenge results, and limited request metadata needed to rate-limit abuse.

Voice, transcript, and generated-audio content is handled by the App and the OpenAI services selected with your own OpenAI API key. We do not ask you to send that API key to GG Translator's licensing service.

2. How We Use Information

• Process purchases and create, deliver, activate, recover, support, reset, or revoke licenses.
• Deliver a Duo gift to the recipient selected by the buyer.
• Protect the licensing service, investigate failures, and reconcile fulfillment with Paddle transactions.

License recovery sends licenses only to the recorded buyer email. The public response does not reveal whether an email or transaction matched our records.

3. Service Providers

• Paddle is the merchant of record and handles checkout, payment, tax, receipts, and transaction records.
• Cloudflare hosts the site, licensing API, database, queues, and Turnstile anti-abuse checks.
• Resend delivers purchase, gift, and recovery emails.
• Amazon S3 stores the public Windows and macOS release artifacts served through files.ggtranslator.com.

4. Security and Retention

We use access controls, encryption, hashed lookups, and limited operational logging. License keys are never placed in URLs or logs. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

We retain commerce and licensing records as needed to provide lifetime licenses, meet legal and accounting obligations, prevent abuse, and resolve support requests. Service providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Your Choices and Requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, subject to records we must keep for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, or license-service purposes.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post changes here and update the effective date.
